The second Chrome OS surprise came in the form of a 2 in 1 from Lenovo. This was a complete surprise although I’ve heard from a number of sources that they were tracking the development of a tablet from Lenovo, but were not expecting it to be a 2 in 1. This is a 10-inch Chrome OS tablet that includes a keyboard and magnetic back cover that becomes a kickstand allowing you to use this as a Chromebook as well. It looks solid and great for traveling. Instead of an Intel or Snapdragon processor, it uses one of the newer MediaTek processors we see on a lot of budget smartphones. This is a great way to reduce costs while maintaining performance. Considering the device has an MSRP of $279 and includes the keyboard I can’t imagine it being anything other than a success. I’ll let you judge for yourself.
